I am.  I grew up on the clean streets in the Heights of Arlington (northwest suburb of Chicago).  I’ve been living in the city since ‘92 and work in all kinds of media, mainly incorporating light and ideas of perception.  I enjoy making public work that appeals to and challenges the masses.  By presenting universal elements of visual perception from an aesthetically unique point of view, I work to create an experience that will open the viewer’s mind to inspiration and new ways of thinking.  Goto: www.johnebannon.com

This is my second year teaching Laptop Literacy and my fifth overall here at The SAIC. I previously taught Holography in the Department of Art and Technology Studies.

I’m 6 foot 1, have black hair and webbed toes.  The toes on my right foot are slightly more webbed than the ones my left, causing me to swim in a big circle.
