Who is Matt Griffin?
This is Matt’s second time teaching Wired. He enjoys it quite a lot. Matt is a Canadian, which tends to come up in class a lot.
He finished his MFA in Sound 21 years after his first piano lesson, 13 years after his first rock and roll band, 7 years after his first album, 5 years after he began studying composition, and 2 years after he adopted the compositional pseudonym max alexander. He has made one album of guitar songs (you can’t hear it, don’t ask), one album with bagpipes, three albums as max alexander (weirdo electronic music), and even wrote some music for an album that was nominated for a Juno (the Canadian Grammy – it didn’t win…). He also makes music for film, dance and theatre. You can hear some music at this website, and see some pictures and read some other stuff here.
