Who is Patrick Holbrook?

Patrick is glad to be back for a third year teaching Wired, Tuesdays 4:15-5:45 and 6:00-7:30. Patrick’s recent work investigates the relationship of subjectivity and the structures of ideology and globalism, often by using video socially and performatively. It has been shown the past couple years in Chicago at Antena, Reception Gallery, The Humboldt Moving Picture Show, and Spiderbug. Patrick runs Eel Space, a small space that brings together people and ideas through a focus on thematic group exhibitions and Chicago artists. He received an MFA from University of Massachusetts – Amherst and a BA from Hampshire College. He also plays music with Laughing Eye Weeping Eye, makes a living by doing print and web design for small company, and enjoys cooking vegan food and riding his bicycle year-round. |
