15 minutes: Overview of critique process and expectations for final critiques, as well as requirements. Please see the FAQ link, How do we critique an artist’s website as a final project?
15-30 minutes: Discussion: Jay Rosen and Mattathias Schwartz, ethics of audience conduct and signifi-cance of audience.
1) How does running a blog or other participatory media form on the web differ from simply posting a website?
2) Has anyone in the class been discriminated against or “trolled” somehow online? Discuss…
3) Can the web be a dangerous space? How and why?
4) At this point in your life, do you perceive the web as a utopian universe, a dystopian paradox, or some-thing in-between? Describe.
